Children’s Mascot Experience – Legal Terms

1. This Children’s Mascot Experience (“Experience”) is open to one participant aged

between 7-13 years old only (“Participant”). Proof of age may be required and must be

presented upon request from Manchester United Foundation (“MUF”) prior to the

Experience.

2. It is a condition of participation that prior legal consent is given for the Participant to take

part in the Experience. The consent must be given by the adult (over the age of 18) who

has legal responsibility for the Participant (“Legal Guardian”) by signing the MUF

Mascot Consent Form. Failure to provide consent means the Participant cannot take

part in the Experience and no refunds or replacements will be made.

3. The Experience includes (i) 1 x general admission child’s ticket for the Participant, and

(ii) 3 x general admission adult tickets for a Legal Guardian and a third party

(“Accompanying Participants”).

4. The Participant must be accompanied at the Experience by a Legal Guardian who must

be over the age of 18.

5. The Experience takes place at the Manchester United FC versus Crystal Palace game at

Old Trafford on 02 February 2025 (“Match”), failure to attend the Match and the official

location of the Experience inside the Stadium will result in the Participant missing the

Experience, no refunds or replacement Experiences will be given for failure to attend the

Match or official Experience location at the correct time.

6. Travel arrangements and costs to and from the Match are not included, whether

international or national. Purchaser must pay for and arrange all travel arrangements

themselves. Accommodation is not included. Appropriate travel insurance should be

taken out by the Purchaser at the Purchaser’s cost.

7. Players will be allocated on the day of the Match and shall be selected at the absolute

discretion of MUF.

8. Purchaser will be informed by email of the logistical requirements (“Requirements”)

that need to be met for the Participant to participate in the Experience, for example the

time and location of the start and end of the Experience. It is the responsibility of the

Purchaser to provide the correct email address and locate the email containing the

Requirements in advance of the Experience. The Purchaser must ensure that the

Participant meets such Requirements.

9. The Participant and Accompanying Participants must (i) behave at all times in an

appropriate manner commensurate with the Experience; and (ii) must not display any

abusive, antisocial, discriminatory, dangerous or offensive behaviour.

10. The Participant will be provided with a Manchester United FC kit, which he/she must

wear for the Experience and which the Participant may keep. The Participant must wear

their own trainers for the Experience.

11. Participants and Accompanying Participants must not take any action or fail to take any

action which would in the reasonable opinion of MUF result in a detriment to the

reputation of MUF, Manchester United Football Club or themselves.

12. Participants and Accompanying Participants must co-operate with and fully pass all

MUF security checks and procedures, including pre Match screening checks. Failure to

do so will result in entry to the Experience being denied.

13. The Match shall be recorded to be televised and published online and elsewhere; it is a

condition of participating in the Experience that media consent is given on behalf of the

Participant. The Purchaser warrants that it has authority or permission to give consent to

the use of the images of the Participants by MUF for the promotion and publication of

the Experience on any media. By purchasing the Experience, the Purchaser is agreeing

to such media use. The Legal Guardian must indicate agreement on and sign the

required MUF Media Consent Form prior to the start of the Experience. The Purchaser

shall, or procures that the Legal Guardian shall, confirm such permission on the MUF

Media Consent Form.

14. The Participant and Accompanying Participants must comply with the terms and

conditions of the admission tickets and all other rules of entry to the Stadium (“Stadium

Rules”). Entry to the Stadium is at MUF’s discretion and MUF reserves the right to refuse

entry or to remove anyone from the Stadium who fails to comply with the Stadium Rules.

Failure to gain entry to the Stadium or removal from the Stadium will result in the

Participant’s non-participation in the Experience.

15. The Participant and Accompanying Participants must comply with the instructions of

MUF with regard to the Experience at all times including without limit the safety and

security requirements in place at the Match.

16. In the event of cancellation of the Match by MUF, MUF may, at its absolute discretion,

provide the Purchaser with a similar or equivalent Experience or may provide a refund of

the price paid for the Experience. MUF’s total liability under these terms and conditions

and in respect of the Experience is strictly limited to the foregoing. MUF shall not be

responsible for any other costs, liabilities or expenses associated with the cancellation

of the Match including without limit any travel expenses. Terms and conditions will apply

to any replacement Experiences.

17. Where a Participant fails to participate in the Experience for any reason including due to

a failure to comply with these terms or MUF enforcement of its rights under these terms,

and except due to the cancellation of the Match pursuant to point 16 above, MUF shall

have no liability to the Purchaser, Participant or Accompanying Participants. No refunds

or replacements or reimbursements of costs of any kind will be given. Liability of MUF

due to cancellation is limited in accordance with point 16 above.

18. MUF shall have the right to remove the Participant and/or Accompanying Participants

from the Experience, Match and/or Stadium who fails to comply with all of these terms

and conditions. Compliance with these terms and conditions shall be decided at MUF’s

sole discretion. Where the Legal Guardian is removed in line with this point 18 the

accompanying children, including the Participant, will also be removed.

19. MUF shall have the right, exercisable at its absolute discretion and without liability or

penalty, to cancel (i) the Participant’s inclusion in the Experience; and/or (ii) the

Accompanying Participants attendance at the Match, where the Purchaser, Participant

or any Accompanying Participant fails to comply with all of these terms and conditions.

In the event of such cancellation no refunds, replacements or reimbursements of costs

of any kind will be given (including without limit travel and accommodation expenses).
