The Black & Yellow Support Indonesia

Borussia Dortmund have completed their 2022 Asia Tour. Touching down in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam where the Black & Yellows played against the Lion City Sailors in Singapore, the Johor Southern Tigers in Malaysia, and the Vietnam national team in Hanoi between the 24th and the 30th of November. The side also engaged with the local fan communities through various events and meet-and-greets, in order to give their Asian fans the chance to meet their favourite players and see them up close. The fans, by bidding on the shirts of their favourite players, will also support the families and communities affected by the Indonesian stadium disaster which occurred on the 1st of October 2022.

The selected team travelling on the Asia Tour was composed of various first-team players, as well as some players from Borussia Dortmund’s under-23 and under-19 squads. A few of the marque names currently up for bids include attacker Donyell Malen, midfielder Emre Can, and Borussia Dortmund veteran and captain Mats Hummels.

The third and final game of the tour will soon be made available so keep your eyes peeled not only for the names of all players in the touring team but also for the shirt of Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus that will be making a surprise appearance. Fans were absolutely ecstatic upon hearing that club hero Reus travelled with the team despite being currently injured and so of course they deserve the chance to secure a shirt signed by him too.

The shirts worn in the game are solidified as a special collector's item and a unique piece of history, not only due to being the limited-edition cup shirt but also thanks to the presence of the Bundesliga logo and sponsor ROWE.

The proceeds from the auctions will go to the ASA Foundation, which is a Sport for Development non-profit organisation that aims to achieve sustainable behaviour change intervention directly through schools and community-based projects. Their social intervention programs support gender equality, diversity and inclusion, promote human rights, peace, and tolerance, and provide livelihood opportunities. Through the ASA Foundation the funds raised from the Asia Tour shirt auction will support the families and communities of those affected by the Indonesian stadium disaster which occurred on the 1st of October 2022, and which saw the passing of 135 people.
