The Fund means UNICEF can respond immediately to help deliver access to water, sanitation, nutrition, education, health and protection services. In 2022, UNICEF called the children’s agency’s largest-ever emergency appeal, covering 145 countries and territories. The $9.4 billion required represents a 31% increase from 2021. This is a dire reflection of the situation faced by millions of children and their families around the world.
