On the front of the shirt the slogan “Everyone with Vini JR." has been printed in bright white lettering - a reference to a recent incident in which the player was targeted by racial abuse. This slogan is simultaneously a demonstration of public solidarity with Júnior and a protest against racism in football. Júnior's decision to sign this shirt is notable in that he is a former winger for Flamengo.
