Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur logoJeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur

The net proceeds from the TeamNL Auction will be donated, at the athletes' request, to Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur. This organisation helps children and young people from families with limited financial means take part in activities such as football, music lessons, gymnastics, street dance, judo, drama classes, or other sporting and creative pursuits. Former top speed skater Erben Wennemars, who worked in Paris for RadiOlympia (NPO Radio 1), is one of the ambassadors and, like last year, will take on the symbolic role of auctioneer, alongside Olympic badminton player Selena Piek.

Petra Bosman, director of Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur, said: "In the Netherlands, hundreds of thousands of children grow up in poverty. For these children, participating in sports is far from guaranteed. Our organisation steps in to help by covering membership fees or tuition costs. Each year, the demand for our support continues to rise, making additional funding more crucial than ever. We are incredibly grateful and proud that the athletes have personally chosen this fund as the beneficiary of this auction.
