DIF Soldater ProjektKrigsveteraner kan komme hjem med både fysiske og mentale skader. Nogle bærer fysiske ar, mens mange flere lider af usynlige sår fra slagmarken. Dybe menneskelige ofre, som ofte ikke anerkendes af samfundet.
Danmarks Idrætsforbund (DIF) anerkender alle tidligere udsendte og deres pårørende for den indsats de har kæmpet for at gøre verden til et tryggere sted.
Med DIF Soldaterprojekt har Danmarks Idrætsforbund oprettet mere end 55 trygge træningsfællesskaber i danske idrætsforeninger for tidligere udsendte med fysisk og psykiske mén. Træningsfællesskaberne kaldes Safe Zones og er drevet af gensidig forståelse og godt kammeratskab mellem tidligere udsendte.
Auktionssalget af de unikke kamptrøjer fra Veteran Match støtter DIF Soldaterprojekts Safe Zones over hele landet.
45 klubber fra Danmarks største ligaer i fodbold, ishockey og håndbold dedikerer en hjemmekamp for at anerkende og ære Danmarks udsendte.
Spillerne bærer kamptrøjer med Veteran Match logo – og flere af trøjerne er specialdesignede og helt unikke.
Dommerne støtter op med særlige camouflage-trøjer til Veteran Match kampene, og anførerbindene har Veteran Match logo, der med sine farver omfavner Hæren, Søværnet, Flyvevåbnet og Dannebrog. Alt sammen forenet i en firkløver, der symboliserer håbet om en lykkebringende fremtid.
Til Veteran Match 2024 er tidligere udsendte og deres pårørende inviteret gratis til i alt 45 kampe i fodboldens 3F Superliga og NordicBet Liga, ishockey Metal Ligaen og håndboldens Herreliga.
Overskuddet fra auktionssalget går direkte til DIF Soldaterprojekts landsdækkende træningstilbud for tidligere udsendte, hvor de kan træne i selskab med ligesindede i trygge rammer.
