The association “Kurt Landauer Stiftung e.V.” aims to commemorate the former president of FC Bayern Munich, Kurt Landauer, his history and the values he represented as well as other individuals and events from the history of FC Bayern Munich. In particular, the aim is to initiate and support projects in which a cosmopolitan, progressive, liberal and anti-racist society and a peaceful and equal coexistence of all people regardless of their nationality, citizenship, ethnic and cultural origin are promoted.

On the 12th of September, the Kurt Landauer Foundation and FC Bayern inaugurated a statue in honor of Gerd Müller. The sculpture by artist Karel Fron, which is intended to commemorate the most successful striker in the history of the German record champion and German football as a whole, stands on the esplanade of the Allianz Arena. The foundation organised its financing through donations from FC Bayern fans, fan clubs, and the proceeds of this auction will also help to cover the costs.
