Younited Belgium - Supporting the Shelterless
The most vulnerable members of a society are those viewed as not belonging to it. To be homeless is to live in a state of perpetual peril, cut off from the resources, structures and systems that keep the rest of us safely anchored. It is a situation in which existing problems are exacerbated. People fighting homelessness are more likely than the regular population to suffer from substance abuse, more likely to be burdened with mental illness, more likely to be the victim of physical violence.
In the final month of 2023, MatchWornShirt is proud to be collaborating with Younited Belgium, a charity that, recognising the severity of the country’s homelessness crisis, aims to help these individuals re-enter society by facilitating their involvement in sport. To raise funds for the charity, we are hosting exclusive live auctions for the entirety of the teams from the top two leagues of Belgian football, with the match-worn & signed shirts in these auctions all featuring the unique Younited Belgium badge upon their fronts.
