Christian Atsu's Dream Lives On

Christian Atsu had a dream to build a school back in Senya Baku, Ghana - making education more accessible to the community.

Having a tough upbringing, Christian never stopped feeling for his people, which was his motivation to work with Arms Around The Child and build the school - in the words of Christian: “I don’t want this to happen to anybody; suffering because of a lack of money and not having an education. It’s not right. I will try as much as possible.”

He was close to seeing his dream project come true before the devastating earthquake in Turkey hit the home city of the most recent club he was part of, Hatayspor…

He might have left us, but his dream lives on. Chelsea Football Club and Everton Football Club have donated their match-worn and issued shirts from their #PL fixture to help raise funds and make his dream come true.
