The heritage design of the jersey pays tribute to the history of the Blues and the success of the club during the early years of the Super 12 competition. Inspired by the 1997 jersey, the design incorporates the iconic diamond pattern on the shoulders whilst a colour refresh pays homage to the Provincial Unions. The diamonds on the front are a North Harbour Maroon, whilst those on the top of the shoulders represent Auckland. The sleeves and middle of the jersey feature a splash of Northland Blue.
This jersey was worn during the Blues 31-27 victory over the Hurricanes on May 11th. This jersey has since been washed.
